We are currently accepting registrations for our Fall 2024 Session. Our programs are for kids entering Pre-K through 12th grade.
Our Fall FLL Challenge programs will begin the week of August 26th 2024.
Our Fall FLL Discover and Explore programs will begin the week of September 9th 2024.
FIRST LEGO League Discover (Grades PreK through 1)
This is a program for our youngest learners. Our kids entering Pre-K through grade 1 explore beginning programming, building, and early robots. We learn engineering ideas, explore the world around us through interaction and art while encouraging exposure to new ideas!

FIRST LEGO League Challenge
COMPETITION and BASIC (Grades 3-8)
FIRST LEGO League Challenge is a competitive robotics program that teaches programming, engineering, design, strategy and teamwork.
We offer several different levels of the FIRST LEGO League Challenge Program.
Our season will run through their final competition. Final competition is generally in December though some teams may advance further into January.
FIRST LEGO League Challenge Competition BASIC
For Grades 3 – 4. This is for students who are just beginning their journey through FIRST LEGO League or who want the FIRST LEGO League experience in a lower pressure environment. This is a skill building level that will provide the tools necessary to be successful and explore engineering challenges. Students will learn to design, program, and strategize robots as well as learn teamwork skills. Students will attend a competition at the end of the season. There is no additional homework with this level.
FIRST LEGO LEAGUE Challenge COMPETITION
This is for students who want to jump right into a competitive environment and are able to work on a team. FIRST LEGO League Challenge encompasses three parts. There is the robot game, a project in which the students solve a real world problem, and team work. These students will learn public speaking, programming, engineering design, strategy, and research skills. The teams meet for an hour and a half per week but do sometimes have homework. Mentors and coaches will add extra hours in the weeks leading up to competition and reserve the right to extend meetings (based on availability of the team members) if additional time is needed. The teams compete with teams from the tri-state area.

FTC- (FIRST Tech Challenge) Where students learn to think like engineers! Work with a team to design, build, and program robots to compete with and against other. All skill levels are welcome! Get hands on and learn design, build, code, and have fun! Grades 6th – 12th. Meetings are Tuesday evenings and Saturdays. REGISTER
FRC – (FIRST Robotics Competition) The Sport For The Mind! Here we build 120lb competition level robots to compete against other teams in the area and around the world! This program, for kids entering grades 8 through 12 (though this can vary depending on the individual child and interest), is a varsity level sport..but with robots! We delve into the world of engineering by using programming, CAD, machining, and wiring. The program also offers opportunities in photography, videography, marketing, writing, business plans, finance, fundraising, and so much more! Is there something you like to do? There is no skill, talent, or interest that can not be used in this program! This program is called, “The Only Sport Where Everyone Can Go Pro!” REGISTER
We are always in need of mentors and coaches! No experience necessary.
Please consider volunteering some time and working with a team.
FRC
These teams are our FIRST Robotics Competition teams. “The Sport Where Everyone Can Go Pro!”
These programs are the equivalent to a varsity level sport. They meet three times a week, year round. Some kids elect to put in more time during peak periods such as the time when the robot gets built and competition time. The Tin Mints is our flagship team, created 9 years ago by Girl Scouts and still going strong! This is an all girls robotics team that promotes character, confidence, and encourage a love of STEM. The Fighting Gophers is a coed community robotics team open to any and all in the area. The Gophers motto is “Engineered to be Unique.”
